Teflon coatings (PTFE)
A baked Teflon coating of 10 to 50 µm for a sliding or non-stick surface. In industry and in contact with food.
A baked Teflon coating of 10 to 50 µm for a sliding or non-stick surface. In industry and in contact with food.
A Teflon coating (PTFE) gives your part a low-friction surface to which material does not stick. We apply it by spraying and cure it by baking in an oven.
We use thermoset Teflon. After application we bake it in an oven at high temperature, creating a continuous layer 10 to 50 µm thick. Depending on the type of coating you get a sliding surface with low friction or a non-stick surface to which material does not stick. Some types are approved for food contact. We process parts up to 1450 × 1450 × 1450 mm. If the part is aluminium and you also need a hard, wear-resistant base, we apply the Teflon over hard anodizing.
Colour black or green depending on the coating type

Parts up to 1450 × 1450 × 1450 mm
A low-friction sliding surface for moving and friction parts.
A non-stick surface to which material does not stick.
Selected coating types approved for food contact.
Why choose a Teflon coating
In 30 seconds you will find out whether Teflon is the right choice for your part. If you are not sure, send us a drawing and a technician will get back to you within 24 hours.
Material sticks to the part
Your part comes into contact with material that sticks to the surface. A non-stick Teflon coating prevents it from sticking to the surface.
The part rubs or slides
You need to reduce friction between moving parts. The sliding type of Teflon coating creates a low-friction surface.
Food contact
The part works in a food processing plant. We also apply Teflon coatings for food applications; some types are approved for food contact.
Results you
can measure
We do not give verbal ratings; we give measurable figures you can verify on your part.
layer thickness
Thickness of the baked Teflon coating on the surface of the part.
max. part size
Parts up to 1450 × 1450 × 1450 mm. The limit is set by the baking oven with internal dimensions of 1500 × 1500 mm.
penetrated Teflon
When the dimensions of the part must not change: we impregnate the hard anodizing with Teflon instead of adding a new layer.

For parts that need a sliding surface with low friction or a non-stick surface to which material does not stick. It is used in industry and in contact with food.
We also apply Teflon coatings for food applications, and some coating types are approved for food contact. A technician will determine which type suits your part based on its use.
The largest part can measure 1450 × 1450 × 1450 mm. The spray booth can handle longer parts, but the coating must be baked in an oven with internal dimensions of 1500 × 1500 mm.
We apply the coating in a thickness of 10 to 50 µm.
A Teflon coating is a layer of thermoset Teflon that we apply by spraying and bake in an oven. On aluminium we can apply it over hard anodizing; this is thermoset Teflon on hard anodizing: a hard base with a sliding or non-stick layer on top. Penetrated Teflon does not form an additional layer: a Teflon dispersion impregnates the hard anodizing (PTFE 3 to 5 µm) and the dimensions of the part do not change.
Thermoset Teflon is cured by heat. Only after baking in an oven at high temperature does a solid, continuous layer form. That is why the oven determines the size of the part.
Thermoset Teflon is black or green depending on the coating type. With penetrated Teflon the shade of the hard anodizing remains, which depends on the alloy.
A drawing or specification of the part (PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES) and information on what the part is for, whether you need a sliding or non-stick surface and whether it will come into contact with food. A technician will get back to you within 48 hours; we usually prepare a quotation within 48 hours.
