Hard anodizing with a baked Teflon layer of 10 to 50 µm on top. For parts that need to slide or to which nothing may stick.
Thermoset Teflon combines the hardness of anodizing with the low friction and non-stick properties of Teflon. We first hard anodize the part, then apply and bake the Teflon coating on it.
Hard anodizing gives your part hardness, wear resistance and corrosion protection. The Teflon coating on top adds a sliding or non-stick surface, depending on the coating type we choose. After application we bake the coating in an oven at high temperature, so we process parts up to 1450 × 1450 × 1450 mm. The colour is black or green depending on the coating type. Some types are approved for food contact.

Why choose thermoset Teflon
In 30 seconds you will find out whether this is the right choice for your part. If you are not sure, send us a drawing and a technician will get back to you within 24 hours.
A sliding surface on an aluminium part
An aluminium part rubs and you need low friction as well as a hard base. Thermoset Teflon on hard anodizing combines both.
Non-stick surface
Material sticks to the part and cleaning slows you down. The non-stick coating type stops it from sticking and the part is easier to clean.
Food contact
The part works in the food industry. Some coating types are approved for food contact; we choose the right type based on the part’s use.
Results you
can measure
We do not give verbal ratings; we give measurable figures you can verify on your part.

Technical
specifications
Thermoset Teflon is a separate PTFE layer of 10 to 50 µm on hard anodizing. Penetrated Teflon does not form an additional layer: a Teflon dispersion impregnates the hard anodizing (PTFE 3 to 5 µm) and improves sliding properties. If the dimensions of the part must not change, choose penetrated Teflon.
On aluminium and aluminium alloys. We first hard anodize the part and then apply the Teflon coating over this layer.
Some types of thermoset Teflon are approved for food contact. A technician will determine which type suits your part based on its use.
The Teflon layer is 10 to 50 µm, the hard anodizing base 20 to 80 µm.
Black or green depending on the coating type.
The largest part can measure 1450 × 1450 × 1450 mm. The spray booth can handle longer parts, but thermoset Teflon must be baked in an oven with internal dimensions of 1500 × 1500 mm.
