Colour anodizing gives aluminium its colour directly in the anodic layer. The dye sits in the pores of the oxide and is sealed in, so it does not peel off like lacquer.
The microporous structure of the oxide layer is filled with colour and then sealed. We offer two methods. Electrolytic colouring in EURAS shades C31 to C35 (bronze shades up to black) has high UV stability and suits exteriors and facades. Organic dyeing offers a wider palette: gold in several shades, champagne, blue, red, orange, purple and black. Colour anodizing has a uniform appearance, resists abrasion and scratching and is lightfast. The largest part size depends on the colour and is determined by the size of the tank.

Why choose colour anodizing
Find out in 30 seconds whether colour anodizing is the right choice for your part. If you are not sure, send us a drawing. A technician will assess it and suggest a suitable treatment.
Design function of the part
Besides protection, the part also has to look good. The colour is part of the anodic layer, not a coat on top; it does not peel off or scratch like lacquer.
Exteriors and facades
The part will be in the sun. The electrolytic shades C31 to C35 have high UV stability and are suitable for exteriors and facades.
Large parts in colour
You need a large part in colour. We anodize gold, champagne, blue, orange and black in tanks measuring 3200 × 1650 × 800 mm.
Results you
can measure
We do not give verbal ratings; we give measurable figures you can verify on your part.

Electrolytic colouring gives EURAS shades C31 to C35, bronze up to black. It has high UV stability, so it suits exteriors and facades. Organic dyeing offers a wider palette: gold, champagne, blue, red, orange, purple and black.
It depends on the colour; the size of the tank decides. We anodize black, orange, gold, champagne and blue in tanks of 3200 × 1650 × 800 mm, red in 2000 × 1100 × 500 mm and purple in 950 × 300 × 950 mm.
The electrolytic shades C31 to C35 have high UV stability and are also intended for exteriors and facades. If an organically dyed part is to be in the sun for a long time, consult us in advance.
Colour anodizing is characterised by a highly uniform appearance. For series of visible parts we recommend approving a reference sample.
Dyeing itself does not; the colour is deposited in the pores of the existing oxide layer. The growth of the anodic layer must be taken into account as with any anodizing.
Yes, black. This evens out the shade, which in hard anodizing is otherwise determined by the alloy.
Yes. Before anodizing we prepare the surface by etching to fine matt (E0) or matt (E6), or we electrochemically polish it to gloss or semi-gloss. The colour then looks matt or glossy.
